Giancarlo Schiano is an Italo-American Pizzaiolo, second generation of Pizza Chef in America, experienced in both Neapolitan and NY Style Pizza. In his career he won several prizes, among those are the 1st place for Fastest Pizza in Atlanta and the 1st place in Biggest Stretch in July 2014. In January 2016 he’s won the 3rd place in the Caputo Cup NY Style in Manhattan, NY. He is the proud founder of the two restaurant locations of Taste of Italy in Georgia since 2004. Giancarlo Schiano was born in 1981 in Maryland by Neapolitan parents, who owned a Pizzeria at the time and introduced him to the Food Industry. Still a child he moved with his family to Napoli (Italy), but at the age of 15 he returned to America to retrace the footsteps of his father who opened his first pizzeria named “Grande Pizzeria” in 1956 at 18 Ave and 86th St., Brooklyn NY.
